The Heart Behind Wild Heart Yoga

Trust Your Truth · Follow Your Wild

Welcome to Wild Heart Yoga — a space for slowing down, reconnecting with yourself

and finding a little stillness in the beautiful Bellingen Valley.

A Little About Me

I've called the Thora Valley home for the past 11 years, living here with my husband, our children, many animals, fruit trees and veggie gardens.

Our property is nestled among the beautiful natural surroundings of the valley, with a pristine creek running through it, the magical river nearby and incredible nature all around us.

It's a beautiful, peaceful and sometimes wild place that we feel incredibly lucky to call home.

Living here has deepened my appreciation for nature, the changing seasons and the importance of taking time to slow down in this fast paced world.

My Journey to Yoga

I've worked as a midwife for 13 years, and during that time I've had the privilege of witnessing some of life's most powerful moments. These experiences have given me a deep respect for the incredible strength, wisdom and resilience of the human body.

They've taught me the importance of trusting our bodies, listening to our instincts and recognising the power of breath to help us find calm, courage and strength.

Through midwifery, I've learnt that sometimes the most important thing we can do is slow down, listen and trust ourselves. There's a beautiful strength in letting go, finding our breath and connecting with the wisdom we carry within.

I've always had a passion for natural therapies and holistic wellbeing, and these beliefs are at the heart of my approach to yoga. For me, yoga is an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves, honour our own journey and embrace the wild, intuitive strength within each of us.

Trust Your Truth. Follow Your Wild.

Yoga has been part of my life, on and off, since I was a teenager. Over the years, it's been something I've returned to.

Now, with my children growing more independent, I'm excited to share something I love with our local community.

I'm a 200-hour Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher, and I'm delighted to begin this new chapter with Wild Heart Yoga.

Community, Connection & Wellbeing

Life in the Bellingen Valley is beautiful, wild and alive.

But rural life can sometimes feel a little isolating, and I believe there's something special about creating opportunities for people to come together.

Wild Heart Yoga grew from a desire to create a welcoming space where people can take an hour for themselves, move gently, breathe deeply and connect with others in our community.

Whether you're completely new to yoga or have been practising for years, my hope is that you feel comfortable, supported and welcome.

No need to be flexible. No experience necessary. Just come as you are.

Join Me on the Mat

I'd love to welcome you to one of our Gentle Flow and Yin Yoga classes at Thora Community Hall, just a short drive from Bellingen.

Come and take an hour for yourself.
